The Jeep Recon EV has been spotted in testing, and while it’s being positioned as the electric alternative to the Wrangler, I have mixed feelings about the design.

It looks like a mix of the Defender, Bronco, and even a bit of the Honda Element.
While it keeps the rugged, boxy shape, the sides and rear feel a little too generic.
If Jeep adds an EREV setup, would that make it a more compelling alternative?

What do you think, does the Recon EV have enough Jeep identity, or does it feel too much like other off-road SUVs?

Yeah, it has got some Defender and Bronco vibes, and the rear design feels a bit generic. But it still keeps key Jeep elements like the boxy shape, removable doors, and legit off-road capability.

It has a mix of design influences, but the real test is capability, would an EREV setup help it win over hardcore Jeep fans?

An EREV setup might make it more versatile, but Jeep will need to keep the rugged, adventurous spirit intact. If it strays too far from what makes a Jeep a Jeep, it might not win over the loyal crowd.
