I know taking the doors off is a classic Jeep thing, but something about the Jeep Recon is just not ok. It looks like it is incomplete without them. Everything is exposed, and it just doesn’t have the same aesthetic as older Jeeps.
Probably, functionally, it makes sense. But visually, am I the only one who thinks it just looks kind of awkward?

Totally agree, the Recon just looks incomplete without doors. The Wrangler and even the Gladiator pull off the doorless look better because of their exposed roll bars and rugged frame, but the Recon has more of an SUV shape, so removing the doors just makes it feel like something’s missing.

I think Jeep should’ve designed better visual integration for when the doors are off, maybe some built-in half-door panels or an optional accessory kit. Right now, it just looks too clean and modern to fully embrace the classic open-air Jeep aesthetic.

You're not alone, the Recon does feel a bit incomplete without the doors, especially visually, functionally, it works, but the aesthetic doesn’t quite capture that classic Jeep appeal.

Yeah, the Recon just doesn’t have that same rugged, iconic look when the doors are off. Maybe if they added some sort of frame or structural design to make it feel more intentional, it would work better. Right now, it just looks a bit too unfinished.
